I commend Margo and the staff at MAHR for the efforts they make and amazing sense of dedication that they show day after day toward the well-being of all of the fortunate horses that find their way to the facility. Sometimes the "truth" is a jagged pill and MAHR faces the truth with a head-on tenacity and optimism that is to be admired. Horsemanship is a lost art - to the detriment of the horses first. Discipline(s) aside, few owners and riders strive to learn to "think like a horse" before they attempt to "use" a horse to their end. History proves that speaking out and leading by example are the first necessary steps towards change. The ripple of change begins with the first touch of those who care - for the sake of the horses. Perception is everything. Here's to changing what has for so long been the "truth" - for the sake of the horses. Perceive the horse as a horse first, strive to understand, earn their acceptance and trust, and then reap the rewards of a partnership like no other. Congrats to MAHR for speaking out and leading by example.
